-
Urinary incontinence is any involuntary loss of urine. It is common, but it is not normal. There are many different causes and types of urinary incontinence, and targeted Physiotherapy by a Women's Health Physiotherapist is highly effective in many cases.
-
Pelvic Organ Prolapse or POP is the gradual or sudden descent of a woman’s organs towards the vaginal opening which can cause a sensation of heaviness or vaginal bulging. Other symptoms may include reoccurring urinary tract infections, difficulty emptying your bowels or inserting tampons.
-
Difficulty controlling the bowels resulting in involuntary loss of bowel motions and wind. Causes may include loose stools or diarrhea, constipation or anal sphincter/nerve damage.
-
Complaints in effectively emptying the back passage, including irregular bowel movements which can make it difficult and painful to pass stools.
And more!
Pre and Postpartum Physiotherapy
Pregnancy is something truly magical. A pregnant person’s body will undergo incredible physical and hormonal changes in just nine months.
The body softens and expands, abdominal muscles lengthen, and digestive and pelvic organs shift to make room for baby. These changes can cause discomfort in the body, which is where our services come in!
Equally, childbirth can take an immense toll on the body, and quite often, the needs of a new baby will overshadow the needs of mama.
We are here to change that narrative.
By providing comprehensive care, we are able to support physical and mental health, recovery and the overall well-being of parent AND baby.
We recognise that the importance of nurture and assurance throughout pregnancy is crucial for mothers’ to fully embrace and understand the power they hold - not only to birth safely, but to birth in the way that FEELS RIGHT for them.
